Once upon a time, a razor-tongued spinster was born to a respictable Trinidadian Family…

Gillian Müller is a fat, white-passing, First-Gen-Torontonian who earned her stripes as a writer in Film and Television. Her Debut Novel will reveal why she left showbiz for prose, and it’s unlikely her family will read it.

Who is she?

Gillian’s interfaith, mixed-race, Indo-Caribbean family introduced her to the world’s mythology, including the black and white mores of the King James Bible and the dark side of fairy tales. No one does Gods and Monsters better than Hollywood, and that’s why she’s obsessed with the movies. As an activist desperate for healthy entertainment, Gillian explores the uncomfortable reality of being an aromantic-outsider through her over-the-top campy characters and satirical spotlight on gatekeeper culture.

Has she written anything I would have seen?

You totally have. But if you haven’t, Gillian is proud to share the trailers of her produced work below. Fun Fact: She spent years as an Assistant Director. Before that, she even went to film school and learned how to shoot on 16mm. She’s a full nerd. Her IMDb page is HERE.

Has she written anything I haven’t seen?

Gillian likes that question better. Her optioned projects included an original TV series for Steve Nash and the CBC; her hilarious feature ‘Holiday Pet Hotel’ went unproduced after two years in development with Darius Films; and most heartbreakingly, her show ‘The Player’s Son’ fell through the cracks at an undisclosed company that folded because the boss was stealing. Show Biz.

Currently, Gillian is a part of many cults: The Nap Ministry, playing Red Dead Redemption 2, therapy, and remains a proud cinephile, despite leaving the biz. She takes care of her father with Vascular Dementia, a Basset Hound who is actually crying all the time and too many plants.
